Tyler Waldman
Multimedia Journalist
Multimedia Journalist

I am a budding young journalist, freshly employed with Patch.com, a hyper-local news website busting into the Baltimore-Washington area.
I just graduated from Towson University, where I cut my teeth at The Towerlight, the award-winning student paper published by Baltimore Student Media. What did I do? It would probably be easier to say what I didn’t do. I didn’t do sports. I didn’t do ads. I didn’t do artwork. And I definitely didn’t do windows. I wrote content for news and arts. I was the associate arts editor. I had a tech column. I did some copy editing. I did some watchdog work. I delivered the paper. Occasionally, I slept.
I am experienced in feature writing, multimedia reporting, photography, audio and some web design. My interests are technology, pop culture, digital media and how all of it interacts in the realm of artistic expression.
I produce Rangercast, a podcast for Power Rangers fans. For more than four years, I’ve brought my rants and knowledge to more than 400 fans a week. I have also interned with the news staff at WBAL-AM and Patuxent Publishing, part of the Baltimore Sun Media Group. I am well traveled, having studied in London and spent significant time in Japan. For more on my experience and references, see my resume.
Want me to speak at your conference/workshop/birthday party? Drop me a line on my work email. Note that I do not do balloon animals. That goes double for the conference planners.
